Who makes this milk glass vase?

It's a lovely piece with ruffle detail and odd veins/vines going up the sides. The 3 legs look like branches. It's 6 inches tall.

this form is often called a rocket vase

 

It's moulded. I suspect it's French. 1920s ish.

 

So that's a mould line, not a crack on the base. I was wondering.

Yup, there are 3 mold lines.

 

You might also consider using "ruffled" as a keyword in your searches. It that a butterfly on the side?

 

I could be wrong - and frequently am - so take this with a grain of salt. I think the early ones were made with no glass between the legs and the vase except where they were connected.

The style is a bit of a mix. Feet - rocket - are Art Deco but the ruffle is very Victorian.

 

How did they get out of the mould?

 

My first thought was victorian as well.

 

think this may be from Northwood's 'Twigs' mold c1898. Dugan/Diamond and Fenton/Wright reproduced some of these as well. Not sure where this one came from as makers mentioned had open work at the base.

did see one example with filled web (not open work) attributed to Diamond. So, It may be possible that Diamond produced a similar piece of opal ware???

Wright did not make glass; they often acquired old molds and contracted with companies like Fenton to make their glass. This does not look like a Wright/Fenton reproduction to me. As I mentioned, it's possibly a Diamond piece but there's likely no way to know for sure.
