Is this rug hand made or machine made?

    Hi everyone,

    Picked up this rug today because I thought it looked nice. I don't know much about rugs yet, can anyone tell me if they think this is machine made or hand made? Any explanation would be helpful as I learn, thank you!

    Machine. See the foundation? If it was hand-knotted, you'd see the same image on the underside that you see on the face.

    Another tip-off - see how that one fringed edge is obviously sewn on? You'd never see that on a hand-knotted piece.
