    Claret jug, strictly speaking. Missing a stopper, late 19th.

    Yes, late 19th, early 20th. Sandblasting (the method used in stenciling the leaves) was developed in the 1890's.

    thanks I thought it was just engraved with a grinding wheel

    The grapes are engraved, but not the leaves.
