Decipher Monogram Please!

    Just discovered this silver handheld mirror in my late aunt’s belongings. Having a hard time deciphering the monogram to try and figure out to whom it belonged. My aunt’s name was Joan and we don’t think that is the first letter. Can anyone provide assistance, please? Thank you!

    Think I see HLA. Often the middle initial is the largest and represents the first letter of the surname. In this case, all letters appear to have equal weight so I'd think letters of name in order. Let's see what others see/think.

    I see "Y" as the middle letter. The reason I thought Y is because of the line on the left side that seems to go with that letter, and seems odd if it were an L.

    Do you think it could be an I? There is someone who was the second wife of an uncle. Her initials were H I M B and married my uncle last name E. I think the I was given middle name, M was her maiden name and B was first husband’s name. Could the monogram be HIB???
