Thoughts on cool Italian lamps w/EOGGETTI tag?

I got these from my friend's 2nd hand furniture store for $20 each. A couple of questions:
Only 1 has a dimmer switch on the cord; the other is just on or off
They have a small tag on the bottom that made me buy them because I thought it said Oggetti; which are expensive Italian lamps, but when I got home (and got my better glasses!) I saw it said EOGGETTI? Are these a knock off/copy?
Also, the dimmer switch is a cool triangle shaped piece marked Milano, Italy on the back, which may be why I didn't look closer at tag under lamp(!)
Any thoughts on them would be appreciated - do I just call them; "Modern"? (they are modern; even with halogen bulbs, but that doesn't get across the cool factor/look of them!

Wear gloves when changing the lightbulb.
The oil from your fingertips can damage it.
I like the look of 'em, but not the bulbs..

 

Could be the tag reads "Luce Oggetti." But I'm confused. There's a furniture & lighting import company in Miami named Oggetti and there's a furniture store in Bologna named Oggetti s.r.l. (s.r.l. being a form of legal entity in Italy.) I'd assume that means your lamp is from the latter?

I believe the numbers are the date of 2000.

Luce Oggetti is a lighting line started by the owners of the Miami store Debora mentioned. I think the tag indicates these lamps were purchased from the Oggetti s.r.l. store in Bologna and dated July 2000. Maybe look a little harder for a manufacturer tag.

 

My first thought was ... a pair of portable toilet paper dispensers. Don’t put them on the floor too close to a toilet .. or someone is going to get a shock .. of the electrical kind!
