Cactus teapot

    I am new to the world of vintage and antique pieces, so thank you for being patient with my many, many questions. This question is about a pretty teapot I am considering buying. It is being sold as vintage although it looks newer to me, but I thought some of you may have thoughts on it. Also I was wondering if anyone could clarify the signature, so that I could look it up. It may be just an individual unknown artist, but I'd like to have as much info as possible before buying. Sorry for the not so great pics, they aren't mine.     Looks like it says N. Barnes.

    It looks newer to me as well. Like craft/artisan pottery of the last 30 or so years. I really like it, the lid with that finial is really unique!

    Thanks for the comments! I looked for an N. Barnes and other variations of the name, but didn't find anything. So I assume it is not by a well-known known artist; but I like it a lot, and it's unique enough that I think I can resell it.
