What can you tell me about these? Has anyone ever seen similar? From materials and design, positive they are late 1960's or early 70's. Plugs have 2 prongs the same size. Body is press board and some kind of lucite-like plastic. Faux wood grain on the back and sides, this is a design inside the plastic. Don't have a photo of this, but as part of the rotation with the switch, the insides light up! :woot:

I think they are quite cool. Unfortunately the shades have some issues, stained and a few tears in one, but what are you going to do? The lamps in pretty good shape.

Kind of a simple design from the inside, even wondered if these might have been home made, but the shades really match so probably not, ....or? No signatures anywhere.

Curious if anyone can point me towards similar or a maker. Thanks!

    Thanks, Book!

Just occurs to me, should I call them "Mod" rather than "Modernist"?

    (Thought I'd ask the Moderator...)

I just got these today and only had time to take a few photos before heading out.

So just took a few more photos showing the inside part lit up in the different settings:

I'd say at the earliest, 1990s, there was a revival of this style then. The chipboard is a giveaway. Stylish.

    What about the cord?
Can we see a close up of the plug?

Those are great links HT, esp. the pinterest one looks similar. Thank you for taking the time to search that out! I've had no luck so far.

Book, here is a photo of the plug. Straight prongs of equal size, so it was before they made one side wider as standard. Also included a shot of the top of the shade.

When I first looked I was thinking 1970s, but that prong might be late 60s.

    Interesting that they don't match.
They are opposite designs. Not mirror design.
