    Hi all

    I've been trying to figure out what type of flowers are on this vase, and also whether it is potentially worth something, or just tat?

    It has 132/1 embossed on the bottom, but no other marks I can see...

    Many thanks

    Belleek had a similar one that was decorated with green clovers.

    Daisies! Wonder if it was an FTD type of item?

    Many thanks for the quick replies :) Not the greatest picture because the light is awful and I'm having trouble getting the phone camera to focus, but hopefully gives enough of an idea...

    Thanks again

    Another British expression? What does tat mean?

    FTD is a company that delivers flowers, saying it looks like an FTD item means maybe it was made for the floral industry. I also agree daisies.

    Daisy. Or being botanical, one of the asteraceae family.

    Tat = https://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english/tat

    And just in case that doesn't translate, it's from an old 1970s sitcom. The main character - Frank Spencer - is an absolute gem!

    So, to summarise, the flowers on the vase are daisies and the vase itself is charity/thrift shop FTD tat?

    Thanks again for the help :)

    I suspect it's from Portugal, that thick white glaze often is.

    So, "worthless tat" is actually redundant.

    As valuable vases go, it doesn't. It's perfectly good for putting flowers in however, i.e. its original purpose.

    FTD vases are marked as such, so this isn't FTD. It's really pretty, though. I like simple white vases.
