Help identifying Italian piece

    2.jpg 1 (2).jpg I have this heavy jardinière (?) that I would like to know a little more about, but so far I'm not coming up with anything. It appears to be numbered, be made in Italy and have a signature that I cannot make out.

    Would anyone be familiar with these markings?

    That first letter does not look like a Z to me, but there is Zaccagnini pottery.

    I think that's it. There's the Z above the word Italy, which the OP chopped off in the photo.

    You're right. I got focussed in on the longer name & did not notice anything other than Italy. I don't know anything about pottery, but do have experience with trying to decipher Italian names on the backs of things.

    OK - done in 15!

    Walter, why doesn't any other Zaccagnini pottery that comes up with Google or that is shown in your article look remotely like this in style? I initially discounted the connection because the look was so different. How would you describe this piece?
