Unusual plastic earrings- any ideas?

Ummm.... hang on.....let me see what I can dig out.

 

Loads here with just one hole.

 

Will be truthful, the one-hole buttons I've run across have been either those missing their wire shanks, bone or wood molds for thread or fabric covered buttons, or were decorations rather than functional buttons (and 'whistles', which have one hole in front, two on the back), so am unfamiliar with one-hole collar studs and buttons.

These earrings not look particularly old to me, and believe they are as originally made - given the design, colors and findings, would guess from around the 1980s (and I like them, KSW).

Thanks very much for your search efforts Dragonfly. That really helps me get it straight in my mind where these belong. @DragonflyWink those you have shown are so similar in design 80s seems very likely.
I like them too which is unusual as I don’t normally appreciate plastic!. Thankyou

 

I dare say that the wire shanks could be removed. I was simply illustrating a possibility. I've said all along that I "think" the earrings could be buttons, but what type of buttons, who can say? There are hundreds on Google Images.
