This style seem very familiar to me, but I have been unable to pin anything down. Any thoughts are appreciated.

I'm not sure what I am seeing.
Is the red, yellow and green paint applied on top of the glaze, while the blue is applied under the glaze?

If so, that would be cold painted and for me would point to Japan .

I need to check on the crown. I can make out the words FINE IRONSTONE MADE IN ENGLAND.

Forgetting to log in first is giving me a headache. It might say Hand Painted on the bottom instead of Made in England; I can't tell. But Bear, I don't think there's room for Fine Iron before the St under the crown. Those are big letters. As I said on the PPG board, I thought it was Mason's Strathmore at first, but not quite, and the mark isn't right. I'm leaning with Pat.

I think it is a Japanese knockoff of Mason's Ironstone. I think the blue is transfer and the the other colors are applied. The applied paint is too sloppy for it to be a piece made by a quality maker.

There's a lot of sloppy British copies of Mason's around. ;)
