Can anyone point me in the right direction with this? Measures approx 3-4" across, and inside has this separate spoon like metal insert. As a side note, I can see pieces of candle inside, so some had wax in there.

Didn't know if it had any age or not. Signed on the base. All thoughts appreciated.

    Marked Qing, Yongzheng.

This is said here to be a lamp, but note that some of the comments doubt age and authenticity, probably with good reason.

I'm just posting the link FYI. One comment there does raise the opium den connection.

Thank you Komokwa, Cluttered and Khl889.

This is VERY helpful! I really appreciate you all taking a look.

If I had to guess, I would say mine is not old, but I'm not an expert in this kind of thing. I'll follow up with all of this helpful information.

    Thank you! :)

The characters are certainly Chinese: 大清雍正年制. Not to say this necessarily means it was made in China.

Could anyone please tell me the approximate value of one of these?

You'll have to show us what you have.....so we can tell if that is one of these, and at that there is still an issue as to whether this is what those actually are.......

That, & we don't generally value items here.
More like we show you where to look to find a fair market value....if that is even possible !:happy:

Yes, @Kristique212 please start a different thread with photos of whatever you have. That is the best way for an ID as age/authenticity will play a big role in value.

As I recall I sold this on Ebay -- good grief you'd think I could remember it better from just Oct 2016, but I barely recall this thread even. The one I had sold for around $50 or less if I'm correct. Definitely less than $100.

But some of these can be valuable, so be sure to do proper research to determine exactly what you have.
