Featured Name for type of turquoise on 14K ring?

    14K setting. First off, assuming this is turquoise. Am I right about that?

    Any keywords to describe the stone beyond that? Thanks.

    I wonder if it is Number Eight Turquoise? Pretty!

    Very pretty but I come from the school that you don’t attribute a mine to turquoise unless you were there when it was pulled out or the piece has recognized institution documented attribution. There are just too many similar mines and multiple veins exist within a single mine. Turquoise and gold is good enough IMO as long as the stone experts confirm it is turquoise as the surface is really unusual as it looks more mottled than veined to me.

    I would describe it as heavily spidered with a light brown matrix for lack of a better description. The side view looks truer to me.

    Unless it's reconstituted ...I'm having trouble with it being turquoise ...

    It looks odd to me too which is why I wanted others to doublecheck. It’s the top view that looks odd-it looks better from the side.

    The veins look greenish on my screen,maybe it's Chrysocolla with malachite.
