You're welcome. Good luck with the photos. And please, also mention any information you already have about the necklace.

You are braver than I. I knew it’s a prayer box, but couldn’t find the wrapped thread of the necklace.

The one I found SAYS Rajasthan, but they are known to be wrong too. And it’s not exact.

There is no limit for questions. Try to post in the Best Forum Category for each item. :)

    yes...there is a limit !

46 new threads per day , with no more than 10 photo's each...
at that level you have to take one day off a week for church..
to pray that we continue to respond to the influx !! :playful::playful::playful::playful::playful:

    I confirm!
Yes it is from Rajasthan, NW India. And a silver amulet box necklace, as komo said. It is beautiful, love the colours!
I would have to check my books for more details. No guarantees though.
With a cord, it is usually India, although there are exceptions.

You know I need that first one, don't you?:playful:

Omani jewellery usually has bigger silver beads than anywhere else, and bigger silver plaques, etc. The Omani ladies don't mind showing off.

Not the best rendition of the portrait of Princess Sayyida Salme, aka Emily Ruete, but she is wearing an abundance of silver and gold jewellery:
