The Mercury 7 Orbit TV what the heck was it? Just a regular TV? did it do something special

    Haven't seen one, but I would guess a regular TV. Apparently that attached sphere is a remote sensor. A TV from the '60s or '70s would not be without manual controls.

    Given the Mercury 7 name I would not have guessed it to be Y2K related.

    Matches my kitchen table and chairs although the table etc is original not a hateful retro BS thing.

    I think they were made in Victoria BC, I've seen some of that stuff around locally
