Featured American made electric fan

    My friend Kim from Missouri, who is not a member here asked me this question.

    Can you see if anyone has info on this old wood box fan. The model number isn't there and it is rather unique from the Mathes cooler fans I've found online. It has 2 handles and also the turbine style blade, the sides are 3 wood slats. I've been cleaning it up, still have to take the back off and clean it and oil the motor but it runs very well.
    Also, if I refinished the top would that hurt the value?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    The only thing that seems different than the others i've seen online is the dual handles. They usually just have one in the middle. How wide is it? Any holes/marks on top center that would indicate a handle used to be there?

    No center hole, handles are original.
    Dimensions are 21in tall
    25 in wide 12.25 in deep

    It does seem to be a bit larger than the fans I could find with that blade style. You or your friend might want to try posting about it on https://www.afcaforum.com/category1/ .

    @Kim Crow I saw someone posted on that forum about this fan with 2 handles. They didn’t seem to put pictures, and I don’t see a response. Maybe you could find the rest of the conversation or private message him.
