Is this brass planter Russian?

    Hello wildrose,
    the word under the mark reads: In Tula (Tula is Russian city famous for its SAMOVAR). This kind of spelling was used before 1917, so the the piece can be attributed to that time. However, I could not find similar marks. Probably, it was not made at the state factory (otherwise it would have had Imperial coat of arms) but at some cooperative

    Thanks everyone! The pot is around 9" tall.

    The morning I posted this I ended up taking my dad to the ER via ambulance, so please forgive my delayed response. He is okay after several days of bed rest.
