Featured Help w/Signature on Creepy but Cool Bronze(?) Bird - Edgar Allan Poe's Raven?

    I found this piece at my local thrift store today for only $14.95 - and even if not a bronze it is so ... different that I'm pretty sure I did good.(my first thought was Poe's Raven)
    Can anyone tell who the artist is? It looks like a doctor's scribble signature
    Is it a bronze?

    That's it! But mine is 6.2" tall x 7" wide (from tip of beak to end of tail)?

    I would speculate that
    wiscbirddog is close.

    If it's not a Bronze, it could be bronzed spelter, or a bronzed terracotta.
