Does anyone recognize this label and know the maker and age of this men's Hawaiian shirt? The logo looks familiar to me, but I can't connect a name to it. The buttons look like coconut shell but are plastic, so I'm wondering if it's a newer barkcloth reproduction?? HawaiianShirtLabel.jpg HawaiianShirtLabel-2.jpg

Joan, I think it might be Quiksilver.

Yes, I'm sure you're right SBSVC -- thank you so much! I lived in southern California from the 1970s-90s so that's probably why the logo looked familiar, and now I remember seeing the Quicksilver brand name many times.

Oops, I misspelled Quiksilver in my last post. Now that I have the brand name to search, I found several shirts like mine and none were described as vintage, so I'm thinking it's probably not too old.

    Hi,
All of my Hawaiian shirts that are vintage(30s to 50s) all have coconut shell buttons. Starting in the 1960s shirts that were NOT made in Hawaii but called Hawaiian all had plastic buttons.

Thanks for that information gregsglass. I finally found a Quiksilver shirt on ebay that has the same label as mine (with only the logo), and it's described as a 1980's, but then I found another 1980's shirt with a different style label. Oh well . . . .

Given label design, I'd think much more recent than 1980s.
