I seem to gravitate to them (while my head is telling me I just found another home run!) & can't for the life of me tell a factory painting from a good painting - so if I can't read the artist's name I end up buying it & posting here to see if I have a winner (but my % rate is worse than the usps successful damage free delivery %!)

I have a quick question. You said that you can ship anything using ShipBike. I looked on their website and cannot find anything in their TOS that says we are allowed to ship other things besides bikes. Are you sure this is true? Just for the heck of it, I found another website that ships bikes for cheap, and it seems similar to the ShipBikes website. I don't know if it is owned by the same company. It does the same things as ShipBikes, and is called BikeFlights. In their terms of service it said the following which scared me:

    https://www.bikeflights.com/termsofservice
"USE OF OUR SERVICES IS ONLY FOR SHIPPING OF BIKES AND BIKE GEAR AND ANY USE OR ATTEMPTED USE OF OUR SERVICES FOR NON-BIKE RELATED ITEMS (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION COMPUTERS, AUTO PARTS, PERSONAL OR BUSINESS PACKAGES, VALUABLES, ETC.) (collectively, “PROHIBITED ITEMS”) IS EXPRESSLY PROHIBITED. FAILURE TO ABIDE BY OUR SHIPPING POLICIES AND RESTRICTIONS MAY RESULT IN OUR IMPOSITION OF ADDITIONAL FEES, FINES, SURCHARGES OR OTHER ASSESSMENTS, SUSPENSION OF YOUR ACCOUNT AND/OR OTHER CONSEQUENCES AS DETERMINED BY BIKEFLIGHTS.COM IN ITS SOLE DISCRETION. We are not liable for refusal of, delay of, loss of or damage to a shipment of any Prohibited Item and you agree to indemnify BikeFlights.com for any and all costs, fees and expenses BikeFlights.com incurs as a result of any violation of any local, state, federal, national or international laws or regulations, violation of any terms and conditions of our partner carriers or from tendering any Prohibited Item for shipment."

I could not find rules on the ShipBike website stating that only bikes and bike gear must be shipped through them. I wonder what would happen if for example, I sell a large, expensive antique item and FedEx loses it or the item gets broken? I wonder if ShipBikes would pay a claim out even if I paid for their insurance, but they find out I did not ship a bike.

How long have you used this service? Are you sure it is safe for me to use it to ship non-bike items? I am worried that my item will get lost and broken and they they don't cover it because I may have broken their rules. Thanks in advance for your reply. I really appreciate it.

This forum is awesome. So many people have helped me identify my items. I have a few paintings that I took a chance on too. It sucks when you can't make out the signatures. I tried to figure out what yours says and so far all I know is the signature looks like it might be Polish. If I find anything out about your painting I will let you know.

I have been using them for last 2+ years - in fact they use to have a "small" category for items under a certain size - that they have since discontinued - but the size to qualify for that was such that a bicycle tire would be to big to fit that category, let alone a bicycle, so they know other things are shipped with them.
PS - Another thing to check - I signed up for some kind of program they have (I don't remember the name of it but check their site or call them) and last year I receive a "refund" for a percentage of what I spent with them the past year; I received a check for around $115 or so (sorry I don't remember the exact amount either; it sucks getting old!) from shipbikes!
PSS - Another nice thing; if you have something that you want a signature for - when you get to where it asks you how much insurance you want (everything comes with $100 automatically), if you put $500 (or more) it automatically makes the package signature required

I've used it for a couple of years. I've also had items broken and FedEx paid the claim

I'm sorry, yes - thank you Melpomene. I apologize; someone poisoned one of our dogs and he was in the ICU for 3 days with IV's trying to flush out his kidneys, but yesterday a final test showed no change in his kidney levels that were "through the roof" and it meant his kidneys were no longer working. Then he had another seizure & I signed the papers to put him to sleep. Yesterday I held him while it was done & then brought him home to bury beside our other dogs who have passed away over the 13 years we've had this house.
I'm glad he's not suffering anymore but I'm still hurt - and angry - and I guess not aware of everything - I saw the name Melpomene posted but I guess I forgot to thank him/her. I will check if I still have the painting.

It's unbelieveable someone could do that to a animal,
PS - I found the painting, so that's good. And there was something else I found that I don't remember - I am posting it hoping someone can tell me if it's anything worthwhile.

I bought Frankie off a panhandler for $10; he was so young we had to bottle feed him for the first few weeks. 1st photo is one of my favorites; we bought him a fake grass pad to try to start house breaking him - he immediately made it his new bed!
And Frankie grown up - he might look mean but he was a spoiled baby who loved to be loved; probably because he was taken from his momma too early (he would not go to sleep unless he was laying against or on, me or my girlfriend - and he's jumped in the bed and snuggled his way right between us & roll over on his back & be asleep before we could get back to sleep!)
PS - A fovorite of his was opening the screw on tops of coca cola bottles! He'd chase after it when we threw it, come back & lay down and go to work on the cap until it came off, then drop the bottle at our feet so we could screw the cap back on & throw it again!
A sweetheart of a dog who suffered for no reason - and he's the 3rd or 4th dog who has been hurt/poisoned in our neighborhood in last 6-7 years; there is a sick person out there.
Someone suggested I get ring cameras that I could aim along our fence lines on all sides (we have almost 1 acre on a triangle property; but it runs along a main road on one side)
Thank you all for your thoughts

So sweet looking, but they all are!
I’m very sorry, it’s hurts so much to lose them, even worse if it’s intentional.

So sorry for Frankie's suffering and your loss, Journey. Only horrible human being would do such a thing.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

I'm sorry for the loss of your dear Frankie, @journeymagazine . He didn't deserve it. No dog would. Getting a Ring camera sounds like a good idea, especially if you have other pets.

I have Blinks in my backyard and a Ring on my Front door.
I prefer the Blinks, but I feel safe either way.

@journeymagazine How heartbreaking. My thoughts are with you all. Get those cameras and post signs that they are there.
