Big purple stones pendant

I got a box full of jewelry today for $15, lot's of vintage jewelry. This piece does not have any markings that I can see, anyone know who made it and when possibly ?

Nice piece of costume jewellery, Billy. The stones are probably glass.
Does the bottom bit open? It looks like it does.

 

It's vintage Trifari (1960's Renaissance collection).

I'm sorry I didn't get back to you sooner -- glad you found other examples. As you've no doubt seen, Trifari's Renaissance Collection included quite a few variations in pendants, lariats, chokers, long necklaces, bracelets, brooches and earrings. The glass cabochon colors were cranberry/purple, blue, and green. I like the color of your pendant (not sure if the chain is Trifari, though).

That it was made in the 50's and or 60's by Trifari
