I keep buying lots that include one or two things that I want. I’m now having a big eBay purge before I disappear under the stuff that I don’t want.
Also need to fund the next month of lockdown

You got me started on Facebook ! eBay going well for me just now. Local auctioneer doing sales online only timed auction. Big gamble as you can't view and there's only one photo and a tiny description but two lots two weeks ago have paid dividends.

 

That landscape definitely has potential.
Miss Marple has nothing on us when it comes to educated guesses as to what we may be buying!.
At one point for me it was very uneducated guesses and I made lots of mistakes but I learned from them and I’m gradually getting more canny. Fortunately other people seem to like buying my treasures (mistakes/scrap) so that’s ok.

Opalescent glass birdies at the front? They look nice.

 

The landscape and that flower one looked interesting. It might be pieta dura. Or junque. The edelweiss is probably pre war, they're sometimes celluloid, sometimes carved bone.

I've got bids in on two more lots.

My local auction is doing online timed and it's gone very well. Except I bought Stuff. More oops.

Once car boots get going again, I'll save a fortune.

John, you've two Whitefriars golden amber there. Is that the Lalique you got next to them?

 

They were subject of a post on here last week. Now sold on eBay for a significant price. Forum big help in identifying as the lid from a Lalique vase. Although that’s the star there are several more very good pieces in the lot.

 

The WF isn't high end, but you've still got £20 on those two bits. The Mason's is decent and what was that blue and white can?

The blue and white mug is an early pearlware transfer printed one. It’s on eBay now and going quite well. I put the WF in a box to take back to auction one day. The Mason’s isn’t old but going okay and there’s a fine wooden sculpture that I’m hoping will go for £60. The Japanese Kutani tea caddy isn’t going well but there are some hours left. Overall a good lot.
