    "IF" they are still legal tender, I guess that each stamp has a refundable value for the amount that was originally paid.

    Since they are going up in increments of 75 cents (on the part not filled in), the answer would be $4.75.

    The stamps were purchased at face value, and redeemed at face value, and earned no interest. Completed books could be used to purchase a savings bond, and the bond would have paid some interest.

    You can check on eBay "solds" for similar items.
