Does anyone know anything about this type of rug bag or what it's called ?

Doesn't have any handles, thick side seams, uneven edges.

    Thank You

It could be from one of the Andes countries. I have a similar one from Peru, but with little bird figures in the centre woven band. It has a very thin twisted yarn shoulderstrap, they are traditionally worn cross-shoulder. This one could have had the same, it must have come off.

It's called morral in Mexico and yes, it's crossbody.
But the ornament of this doesn't look Mexican to me

The one in the centre looks like my Peruvian bag. Pretty general Andean.
They are for anything you need to carry. Inca messengers used to put their 'quipu' in them, the Inca mnemonic device with knotted strings.
