Herman Miller Wood Chair

At first when I seen this chair in back of thrift store I thought Herman Miller, then I looked closer and realized maybe a different maker, so I got it anyways for $2 because it caught my interest. Does not have any stickers or markings, it's heavy for the size
anyone know who might have made this chair ?

I'm thinking Herman Munster - LOL!!

,Think they used enough wood screws? And veneer on a ply base. I'd paint it and call it a job - for 2 bucks ya can't go wrong

 

Look in to Thonet but it could be a knock-off.

I'd be thinking it came from a school; that explains why it would be so over-built. Kids are hard on chairs.
