Hi all. i was trying to research this watch and am finding nothing.
    What i do know.
    1. Orient Watch Co. Japan movement
    2. 21 jewels
    3. Automatic (self winding)
    4. partial skeleton.
    5. Feb 2012 Orient Blog on Valentines watches.
The first pic is from that blog, the rest are my watch.
    6. MOP look face with hearts and gold hands and numbers.

What i don't know is why can't i find any of these for sale?
I see lots of open heart watches but none with the actual openings shaped like hearts. assuming the numbers on the back are model numbers nothing comes up in searches. i contacted Orient and all they could tell me is that it is discontinued.
These sell for around $100 average. but some special editions go for much higher. maybe someone might know or at least lead me in the right direction.

It's awfully new. They don't seem to be widely distributed, so odds are there simply aren't a ton of them in the US to resell.

Orient, is a good watchmaker, not high end, but think of a seiko or a citizen. They are usually not in the u.s. market. Unless you get them online. Mostly sold in Japan.

But a very solid piece, they make automatics, winders and quartz. I have a couple, along with seikos. Good daily drivers, when the fancy stuff is in the garage..

Japanese watchmakers have made huge strides in recent years. Seiko has a premium marque called grand Seiko that is pushing premium prices and quality.

They are on ebay frequently. I prefer automatic movements, and my seiko's and orients are pretty spot on in timekeeping with my premium marques.

I am looking for any information on this particular model # but haven't even found one for sale or sold and have looked at dozens of sites and hundreds of Orient watches. I'm thinking this was a limited edition and not that many were made or even sold.

    Know nothing about watches but:

“These sell for around $100 average. but some special editions go for much higher. maybe someone might know or at least lead me in the right direction.”

U say “go for much higher”-do you mean are advertised for that on EBay, new retail prices, or what? I’m sure u know sold prices are reliable, starting bids are not. And if there’s no collector demand, a limited edition has little significance on the secondary market. Unless the watch market differs from all others.

I have some pens around like that - nice high retail prices elsewhere in the world, and no resale record here in the US. What are they worth.... The watch might be one of those things that goes back overseas and sells for nutty money when it does, or it might sit there for $19.99 with no takers. I've seen it go both ways.

Yes I was talking about sold items. ebay sold rare and limited edition ones range in the 500 to 1000 range.
