I have a deed from 1717 on sheepskin. It covers three territories in the UK. Would this have any value?

We had a librarian confirm it was sheepskin.

Thank you for your help. I am new to this site. My grandmother passed and left me many wonderful and unique items. I'm really at a loss on where to begin.

Thank you, everyone. I will have lots of questions. We are going through her belongings slowly. I appreciate any guidance.

The key word to use when searching is'indenture'. And 'Vellum', possibly.

I have sold many of these in my time, mostly from UK to America. The more fancy looking the engrossment the better, a few wax seals always helped. That one looks on the plain side.

A smallish single page from about 1100 fetched around £500, but mostly they were 17th and 18th C examples fetching £30 to £50.

19th C examples were harder to shift. I'd usually job these out at flea markets for a modest price because I would have made my profit on the earlier ones in the batch. No early ones and I'd pass on the lot.

    Welcome to the forum, Candice.
Sounds like my grandmother. You must miss her very much.
Take your time, as Davey said, there are many people here who can give advice for free. We are always happy to see new items.
Be prepared for some sidetracking and fun as well, one thing tends to lead to another here.:)

Thank you everyone, for the welcoming. Excuse my ignorance, I am not very technically advanced. And this is the closest thing to social media I have. I assume when I have a new question, I start a new thread?
