Anitque bowl : Need help finding origin and or age

Hello everyone,
I have a antique bowl which I want to get some information about. I am uploading pictures for it. Please feel free to throw light on it. It was obtained by my grandfather back in 1930s. But I don't know its actual age and value. Trying to get some more information on this piece. Some guy did tell me that it might belong to late Tang dynasty.

It is a gorgeous bowl, those little figures are delightful. But it is not at all Tang dynasty, it may even have been new when your grandfather bought it.
I don't recognize the style, someone else will probably be able to help.

Wait for others to yay or nay.

But google Sumida Gawa and compare to yours.

 

Great, Judy. I thought it would be Japanese, but as you know Japanese ceramics are not my forte.

I've come across it occasionally, but rarely I must admit, over the years.

I really like it, and could easily collect it. It's a good thing that I rarely come across it.

Thank you everyone. Now I am much familiar of what it is rather. I was shooting in the dark before joining the forum. By the way, would any of you know a good selling price for the bowl. I know it might not be accurate but a good base to start ?

 

Hi Ashish! Suggestion...... do a search on eBay under completed sales.

It should give you some idea.

 

These are NOT in the SOLD listings, but check them out....you'll see prices all over the place, but some pretty hefty listed prices too!!!! If yours is signed in any way, I'm sure that would help it immensely too!!! Of course COMPLETED SALES are your best sources for comparison prices!!
