IMHO, I'd offer the bracelet to the POW. But you never know... maybe he's got twenty already, LOL.

I found that too; it's on the site that gives the address for repatriating the bracelets. Odds are the guy has a box full under his bed.(LOL)

@Marko - definitely Israeli eilat. No doubt about it. It's a classic design. I've met a few real jerks who were scrappers; I'm merely an opportunist.

I have been to church sales where a dealer grabs everything - and I mean everything - in the jewelry section, then sits down and sorts through it. Eventually she dumps what she doesn't want back on the table. Meanwhile, the rest of us don't get to even see what is offered :(

    Hi,
When I had my yard sales I had two women I called Mary and Martha who used to haunt me. They would run around and gather as much glass as they could and sit down and go through all of the glass books to see what they had. One day I could stand it no longer and started screaming I'll ring these all up" and when they started to protest I screamed I am not running a school for you two to learn about collecting, now put your books away and GET OUT. By this time I had a group of about 20 people standing there watching me go crazy. The two fled with their glass books and the crowd all started clapping.:eek::eek::eek: I had several run ins with them at other sales.

WOW!!!!! Good for you!!!! From the clapping, sounds like others might have had their fill too!!!! Ahhh, but then, maybe they were just two little ladies looking to score with a decent gent!!:smuggrin::smuggrin::smuggrin::smuggrin::smuggrin::p:D:hilarious:

The sellers were the Christians; the buyers probably hadn't been in a church except to buy stuff in 20 years.

I'm one of the in church every week types. I lose some opportunities to buy stuff, but what I gain is worth a lot more. And yes I've been known to put stuff in a baggie without looking at it too closely. I do not however clear tables or dump entire baskets. Unless it's a basket of silver going for not much, of course - in which case yes I do want it all.:)

Did I ever tell you you're my hero
And everything I wish I could be
I can fly higher than a (glass) eagle
Cause you are the wind beneath my wings
