Copper Bowl & Plate with Owl Mark

    I found this nice little covered bowl with underplate. There is a brass shield on the front of the bowl that reads Ste De Tir Battailon 13 and they are marked on the bottom with an owl and Grand Duc Depose (Grand Duc means Great Horned Owl). Any thoughts on where/when they were made and what were they used for?

    I think it's a shooting trophy. Ste is Societè in this case; I found a vase made in copper with the same mark. It's probably pre-WWI.

    And déposé just means it's a trademark.
