Thanks Aquitaine! Photos can play tricks, but as I said once before, I’m going to not be too embarrassed to ask, just in case.

Maybe if you can gather from the buildings (if it’s a real place) you can figure out artist, or find a work it may be done from. May increase the value for you.

Are you talking about on the left hand or right hand rock?

They do look like pencil to me. One sure way to know but you may not want to do it is to get a tiny tiny piece of putty rubber, rub it on a dark area on the drawing and see if it comes off. Ink won’t come off like pencil does. You can always just get a pencil and fill in the tiny bit that you rubbed off. I would do this as an Artist myself, but I know some people wouldn’t. They are beautifully done btw.

Thanks. I agree they are very well done. You wouldn't believe someone could do such fine detail, because these are small pictures. I won't be interfering with them. If I sell them and someone says its a lithograph, which I doubt, they can return it for a refund.

Excellent. Thanks. I was looking at the squiggle on the right.

Just an idea. Would it be possible to remove the glass and check whether the image leaves any graphite trace when you touch it?

To be honest they're quite solidly framed so I think I'll just leave them alone.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I'm sure I'll be back.
