R u sure 1827 is a date and not a pattern number or something? I dunno nuthin’ ‘bout that stuff tho.

While your plate does appear to be antique, it does not appear to date to the late Regency era. It is much more likely to be Victorian and the 1827 marking a pattern number or some such.

The 1827 is in fact a pattern or design number.

I think your reading here has started to rub off, @springfld.arsenal

A generation is really only 25 years or so. 5 x 25 is 125 years which would put your plate into the late Victorian era.

I think the 1827 is a decorator number. I'm no porcelain expert, but there's no way in heck that was made in the 1820s. Late Victorian feels better, but even that's a little early.

Welcome to the forum, Toni Cro!
I think the flowers on your platter are called forget-me-nots.

I guess I'm the contrarian here. Despite the family history, this looks more like 1960s or '70s to me. Kahla, a very large German company, used similar bottom treatments.

For what it's worth my vote is with Debora. Victorian circa 1880's. Most likely German.

    Toni-cro, welcome to the forum.

I think your plate is very pretty. The blue flowers around the border are charming. ;)

Numbers like this on the back of the plate are almost always pattern numbers. Occasionally they are numbers designate the worker who did the decor as they were paid on a per piece basis.
