image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg I know this isn't sterling, stones are anything of the such that most look for but I did get a few things today at the thrift store.

First is a Pfaltzgraff China Beverage Server with lid. I know it's nothing special but Replacements has this one listed for $129. This server stands 9 1/2 inches.

The second one is a Nippon Yoko Boeiko Co vase. Ca 1930-40.

Third piece are two Russian tea cups and saucers. I don't know who they are made by. I thought the looked really nice.

Fourth piece are two Shannon Crystal Designs of Ireland 25% lead crystal. These stand around 10 1/2 inches tall.

These are gifts for my wife for next Christmas.

image.jpg I also found this hand painted milk glass globe for a parlor lamp. The down side to this, there a small piece missing, you can see it in the picture. The broken piece is on the bottom left. Could this be repaired?

I think the best repair would be the addition of a decorative object there

    Hi Joe,
Love the purple Russian tea cup and saucer. I have mended a hole in thin glass like that globe with a piece of tape on the inside and a couple of light layers on the outside using clear nail polish and a final coat when dry of white nail polish. Let the tape in place for at least 24 hrs. Do not use white polish for all the layers it will appear too opaque and dark.

I listed them on ebay. JW Lynde, Curtiss Candee Stiles, Geo Sanford.

You're absolutely right. But Terry's spoon doesn't bear the Gorham marks, so I never bothered to look at their patterns. Perhaps Fessenden got a license from them to use it for souvenir spoons?

Thanks. I will have to try that. I'm a wrong when I say this is a "Gone With the Wind" style globe?

There is a ghost of an old stamp under the mark
I really can't see more of it in hand than in the picture

Well, given the strength of what's there I have doubts that whatever it is you think you see would have been the full Gorham trademark.

There are two listed on ebay that have the same mark

I doubt they are Gorham and all the misattributions seem to be stemming from replacements (who doesn't even have a picture) or sterling fashions

Gorham had full marks on everything else 30 years before these

Nope, that isn't a Towle mark on the Anaconda Mine spoon.

My Anaconda is Gorham with a D (1871!)

It must have been an older spoon repurposed later

Edit: Weirder, it is 1897 Lancaster, but date marked D for 1871

Those letters are holloware markings, Terry. Not for flatware. When they dated flatware they used the patent date. I'm confused about the mark having a D with it.
