Maybe sterling? Help with make.

    Found this beautiful carving set and I was told it was S Kirk and Son but it doesn’t have any markings and I can’t find it anywhere. Some help would be amazing!     Are you sure there are no markings near the bolster?
    I can tell you that it wasn't make by Kirk.

    So far there are very few three tined forks I see, and those seem to be French. They would be very small marks, if French.

    I’m just taking a guess at French, but I think it’s a good possibility. I’ve searched some random French sets hoping to find the same pattern, but no luck. You won’t know the maker unless you can find some marks.

    Look where Bakers said, the collar that attaches to blade. Use a good magnifier.

    Wasn't me that said that, but I agree that's a likely spot! Also agree that the design looks French, but if it is French the marks will be near the tines themselves.

    I’ve not seen any three tines other than French. Look closely @Mayra Acosta :pompous:

    The knife hand guards look crudely made, not ruling out French but I find Christofle unlikely based on that alone. Happy to be wrong, but marks are needed to identify.
