    Hi everyone,

Please can you help me with any information about this Credenza.

It was purchased second hand in Australia but the seller thought his parents brought it to Australia from Italy. I can't see any makers marks.

    Many thanks,
    Rob

I dont know who made it but I love it ! After spending a while looking at Italian MCM furniture,I ***think*** Paolo Buffa might have made your cabinet. Very much in his style. Vittorio Dassi was a close 2nd.

Yeah its quite something isnt it!

@johnnycb09 Thanks. I'm looking at Paolo Buffas work and I tend to agree with you. I've read that he rarey marked his work which doesn't help us!

Are there any particular photos I should add that might help people?

I think you are spot-on. I also question how the legs are attached.

I think the legs are deliberate . Makes it look like an animal in motion to me.

I agree on opinions that it's in the style of Buffa or Dassi. Austin Auction Gallery imports and sells a lot of Italian MCM pieces like this so you might try searching their archives on liveauctioneers (photo here is one they sold). And yes, very few midcentury Italian furniture pieces were tagged or marked, making ID difficult. So I wouldn't put much stock in attributions from sellers or auction houses, including AAG. Thanks @mark737 for finding an example that shows the legs in the correct position! :)
