    Does anybody know the origin of these tiles? Possible French?

    Welcome to the forum, Inga.
    Your tiles are Persian, probably Qajar dynasty (1785 to 1925). A beautiful set. Falconers on horseback are a favourite subject in Persian tiles. Do you have more pictures, also of the backs?

    Hi,
    I agree with AJ. I had some beautiful tiles from that period. For the life of me I can not remember if I gave them away or sold them.:wideyed: I bought them back in the 1960s at Altmans antique center.

    Hi Silverthwait,
    It was on the sixth floor of Altman's. The finest department store in Manhattan. The finest store in Manhattan next to the greatest store in the world, Tiffany's. I do miss them both. One is gone and the either I can no longer afford.
