Hi Everyone! I'm new.....

    I'm new here. But I am "old" in my other life..LOL..well, almost old. Not quite there yet.

    I am from Asheville, NC and live an hour away in a small town, Forest City, NC.

    I am a retired nurse but I actually had to quit nursing before retirement. I had only worked 38 years when I hurt my back lifting a patient! That was 4 back surgeries ago!

    I have no human children but I have one "furbaby", a 9 yr old Yorkie. And she's the BOSS!

    I have come to this board seeking help in trying to find out some information about a couple of things that were in my mother's belongings. I will post them later but as of this moment, I only wanted to introduce myself.

    Hello, Sharon, nice to meet you too. Your poor back. Sad to say, you are not the first nurse or allied health professional I know of who has been injured moving/positioning a patient. We, the general public, think of these as such safe occupations.

    Gee, now of 'a certain age', bossed around by a quadruped, dealing with a health issue, you sound just like a whole lot of the folks you'll meet here! :nurse::happy:

    Hi Sharon, and WELCOME from New England, Massachusetts specifically!!! You'll find good information on whatever you have to post in the right forum!! You'll also find some fun as well as information!!:):) Rather than anyone being "old" here, I think we mostly talk "LOTS of EXPERIENCE"!!!!:smuggrin::smuggrin::jawdrop::jawdrop::D:D:D No age limit here...from very young to 'very experienced'!!!
