image.jpeg Hi all. I have this bracelet and would like a bit of info on it please. From a little researching I think it may be Italian. It has a clear 800 hallmark. Would this be described as filigree and antique. If so what would be the circa on it. Any information would be great. Thanks.

Welcome, Gazza! Not the most complex of filigree work, but nice enough. Since it "has a clear hallmark," how about posting a picture of it. It will help us advise on country of origin and age.

We probably ought to have a better look at the cameos too.

I'm not seeing a ton of age, and without being able to see the marks my first guess would be Portugal. The Portuguese silversmiths play Where's Waldo with their marks and hide them either on the front or back, so there may be more marks on that ...somewhere. You'll need a good loupe and a lot patience to find them, if so.

Made in Italy. Cameos are 1950-60s, cut in helmet shell. When the wire used for the filigree is 'granulated' this way, another term is 'cannetille'. :writer::turtle::happy:

There is nothing "granulated" in this piece,it is just over flowed with solder.

It may not be true granulation in the sense of having each bead applied separately, but gives that effect. Just distinguishing it from plain wire.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

There are no other marks besides 800, then?

No, rechecked it with a magnifying glass.
