India/Persia Folk Story Printing on Fabric?

    I don't think this is old. I have no idea what it is. Has anyone ever seen something similar? It's printed on cloth & reminds me of a comic strip of a folk story with gods/goddesses/, animals, fish, etc in each scene. Is it from India? Persia? Thanks!

    It is a traditional Palindon style painting from Kamasan in Bali, Indonesia.
    Kamasan painters continued the East Javanese Wayang style of painting, inspired by the puppets from the East Javanese shadow play.
    Many modern Balinese painting styles are derived from the Kamasan style.
