It depends on how the ring was made...cast,fabricated with a solder seam, formed on a lathe from tubing, etc. There are companies that sell tungsten rings which cannot be sized and need to be replaced by the company if sizing is required by the customer.

I won't post a link. especially since some found multiple ear piercings icky, but just do a search for 'ring avulsion' - my friend was helping carry a piece of furniture, her husband lost his grip and it snagged her wedding ring when it fell. There's no way your rings are gonna just slide off, please be careful...

after 13 I wore a gold ring full time...
teens as it turns out , can be tough on rings...& mine split open twice ...both times it's had a jeweler close it..but it split open a third time and I wore it like that until the day my palm took a hit and the ring opened up and then closed on my finger grabbing a chuck of skin.............I howled , and tore at the metal to release my finger...........I never wore that ring again........

I got one free in a house clearance about 7 weeks ago, battery would not hold a charge.
I got one delivered yesterday off eBay £16, works fine.

I have worn a 14K gold box chain with one of the several pendants I have 24/7 for 30+ years without any issues. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get it off or on by myself for the last 5 years or so. I have to wait until my husband is around & I think about it to change the pendant.

the chain never left a mark of the pendant ?

I am not quite sure what you are asking me here. The pendants I wear are small to tiny gold, diamond & sapphire pendants. The chain is not a heavy one either. I like the box chain style because they don't tangle or kink.

but they are prone to having a link break.....and if the nature of the squared corners can saw thru a bale ...from constant rubbing , as mine did

Like I said never had a problem & even though it weighs less than a fraction of an ounce I feel undressed without it on.
