HUGE Camusso Sterling Silver.....would this be called a centerpiece? Almost 800 grams for $15.

    Wow love it! Congrats!

Thanks say it slowly! So would this correctly be called a centerpiece? I have no idea. It's too big to be anything else, and the way the edges scallop I doubt it's meant to actually put food in or anything.

    How big is "huge"?

I think it is a centerpiece to be most likely filled with a flower arrangement (although it could also hold a whole-fruit or whole-vegetable arrangement). It could be placed on the dining table, a side (serving) table, or a sideboard/buffet.

No photo, but I nabbed a rather nice spoon yesterday. London hallmark for 1799, weighs about an ounce. Cost the equivalent of five dollars.

I have an inguinal and umbilical hernia.:( I told my doctor NO MESH and he said don't worry that I am thin so won't need mesh. I heard too many horror stories. Also men get the inguinal more than women. Guess I lifted too many heavy things through the years.

So how long were you out of commition before you could lift again???

Hello everyone! It has been a long time since I've checked in. A lot has happened since I last posted - we had a house fire, smoke damage, etc., but somehow amazingly almost everything inside survived. It was so scary, as the house next to us (three town homes connected) suffered major damage in and out. We were super fortunate and know it. It is humbling to see awful fires on the news and realize how lucky we were. During the fire, I had five orders that day and no electricity - it was quite an event. I was running from a neighbors to use her computer and then driving to my partners work to print labels.

Thankfully, life is returning to whatever normal is :0) The holidays were nice and the assistant in my avatar is still here. She had a bath today and is not happy with me. Had to do it today before the freeze comes.

I was way behind on this thread... I think I was back on page 63 or 64 and had lots to catch-up on. Loved it and all the fun treasures everyone found. Nice to see the regular posters are still here.

Here is something I found today (posted a link to a like item) - I've got to get back in the swing of things!

At a local TS, I recently found 8 older math books and knew they were from a teacher based on the name inside, the number of them and other information. The 'retail' value of those 8 was about $47.00, before you add in the new cottage chic, instant library theme that is popular now. Today I had one of those gut feelings to go back and check again. I kept fighting with myself as I have too much stuff (you might remember I also posted on the Hoarders thread!).

Well... another four math books had been put out (another instant library I thought!), the first three have little value, but the last one knocked me in my knickers:

Not bad for $2.00. Made it worth with dealing with the weather and the road rage driver behind me... he seemed convinced I should plow head on into oncoming traffic just so he could turn right.
