There seemed to be a flurry of the wrought lamps in the 1920's, such as the pictured table lamp. Does anyone know the name of companies who made these (they're rarely signed). Production was surely limited do to labor of assembling when compared to the typical cast spelter pieces of the era.

Good question. I know of no research in this area. In Europe, Goberg made some but their work is different than much of what is seen here in the States.

Gaumer of Philadelphia is one of the few ads I found. There seems to have been a flurry of lamps wrought of mild steel in the 20's - some were rudimentary, others had wonderful forming details. There surely were many American firms producing lamps - likely small companies such as fence making co's who took on contract work producing lamps. I'm a fan of these hand made pieces. After WWII, the imports began in Ernest - notably Spain, followed by Asia. My research continues . . s-l640.jpg
