    I'll leave it to the experts but it seems too cheerful to be Polynesian, face too fat to be African. Somehow this gives me a Russian, Siberian vibe. I don't know why.

    The decoration reminds me of Toraja carving. The Toraja live in Sulawesi, Indonesia. So my guess is Sulawesi or maybe the eastern islands of Indonesia.
