I ended up with this bed frame, from what I can gather it's circa 1940s Old Hickory brand. It has the old hickory Martinsville Indiana stamp, and appears to be in pretty good condition other than a small piece of the bark is gouged out on the headboard. I want to sell it but have no idea value, where tonstart price-wise. Any advice or insight is appreciated!!
Don't know what your bed frame looks like but here are some sold on liveauctioneers....... https://www.liveauctioneers.com/sea...ge":1,"sort":"-relevance","status":"archive"}
Hi, Common in the US is full for double. Here we also have California twin and king which are 6" longer. Try and find sheets for those. Also we have 3/4 which is between a twin and a full. greg
Looking through those sold examples, I find none exactly like yours in a full size. Value is going to depend on where you are and how you are selling. For example, these do well in Indiana near where they are from. They also do well in resort/mountain areas where the look is popular. Here where I live in the cornfields of Illinois, there is not much interest at all. I would be very lucky to get $150.00 for it. It would go for even less at auction.
Thanks verybrad, you've been helpful. I am in the Seattle WA area, and actually live in the "antiques capital" of the northwest! So, here's hoping that helps me a bit. I appreciate the input and look forward to posting more on my cool finds!
