My question is aboutt the initials ER? on the lid? Any idea what they stand for?

    Hi,
These Kitchen Kraft covered jars were made between 1939 and 1945. They were made to go with Fiesta. They came in four colors red, yellow, green and cobalt blue. They are usually measured around the girth, There were three sizes 27½", 22" and 17½". The lids in great condition are hard to find. The ER on the lid were probably inits of the production. Only important to really serious collectors who specialize in such things. Years ago top prices were 275 to 325 dollars each in MINT condition.
Today some Fiesta collectors like them. The great majority are so-so. The two most collected colors are the red and blue. I had one years ago in a really dark brown with reddish highlights. Most have been a special order or a test piece for new colors. It brought a really nice price almost 2 grand.
