I hope you and your families are still well and safe. I have this necklace that is 14kt gold with genuine pearls and diamonds. This was made in Italy and it has a magnet copper/ brass closure which I feel could be a part of the necklace design. Anyways, the marks stamped Italy 14kt on one side and D G on the other. I am hoping someone will be able to tell me who the DG belongs to, whether it is from the 80’s or earlier, and last what kind of pearl it is. Thank you in advance and I sincerely appreciate all your responses. Enjoy your evening and have a great weekend.

    Dolche & Gabanna .............................nahhh...just kidding...!!

    It's very nice...but the pearl...is a standard pearl..
the closure has nothing to do with the Itallian gold chain and was added ...
it's way toooooo big and heavy for that long rope chain.........which could have been made by a multitude of companies......

I’m not sure so wait for others but the Italians use the DG as a plating mark, so it may be gold plated. I don’t think the clasp is original.

I was able to fine other jewelry of the same designer online. Also, I tested both the chain and the pendant and it is 14k gold. Thank you so much for your response. Below are link I found with the DG on them

If the clasp is magnetic someone older my have put that on since old hands don't work the little clasps very well. I put them on some of my mother in laws necklaces that she could not slip over her head.

Does anyone have and idea of how old this piece might be without thinking about the clasp? Thank you all and have a happy and safe Sunday!!

at 200 bucks melt weight.....no one is gonna buy this 6 gram chain...( designer , my foot !! ) ... for $335.......
    that said....

the DG is no designer , just the company who makes chains.....
I would think the chain is from the 80's or newer and the pearl may be as old as the 60's......but with no marks.....it's a guess by sight alone.....

Designer, Maker makes no difference to me lol. I just wanted some kind of idea of the age because the pendant seemed to be old. As far as what it is worth, at the moment I was not interested and if I was, I was not going to ask because I feel it would be inappropriate to do so. With that said and as always, I sincerely appreciate and always welcome your input. Thank you again and stay safe komokwa
