Free - US Half Dollar Coin Wrappers

Not sure whether any of you might have a need for these since it's been a long time since 50 cent pieces were in common circulation, but I discovered this week that 24 half-dollar wrappers were in the bunch of other denominations that I brought home from my mother's house when we were clearing out several years ago. Look to be mid-century, heavy craft paper and well-glued. Lord only knows how long she had them.

Free to a good home since I think they'll fit in a regular one-stamp envelope. If more than one person is interested, I could divide them up too.

Dodgy coin dealers (not you Davey) love these for the 'Unsearched Roll' boondoggle. Fill them with routine halves with a walking liberty on each end and advertise them as from a grandparent's hoard. Ebay is full of them. And blind optimists to buy them.

At least Davey won't be doing that, I'm sure.

Going to give this one more day since the holiday period may have kept some members away. Only Davey and Greg have expressed interest, right?

Terry - I have a bunch of those "faded" ones too, but in denominations that I have a use for - pennies in a faded brick red and a couple different graphics at that, dimes in what may have been blue but now look grey and quarters in faded orange. There used to be some faded green ones but they seem to have been used up.

 

Time's up! No more names are being accepted.

 

Sell them on Ebay and make some money. They are collectables.

They're already gone. And frankly, since I have never listed anything on eBay or anywhere else, that idea would only have had appeal for something that would sell for $100's.
