I have a large ceramic yellow and red swirled ashtray. It is 13 3/8" in length x 7 1/4" at the midsection width or 6 1/2" at 1 end and 1 1/2" on the other end width. Bottom says: Sue Haid - G.A.F.B., Aug. 1964 - Mont. Does this have a drip glaze? I would like to request information on the company and pattern and decade? Do you think this could have been made by McCoy or MCM? Do you think this is mid century? Thank you. Rob

MCM is not a company, it stands for: mid century modern, 1964 would fall within the parameters for MCM.

Either student or a pottery class - you have the name of the person who made it and the date/decade already. GAFB - Glasgow Air Force Base in Montana.
