My parents finally made a smart move and got out of these BS Ohio winters and moved to SC with my sisters help. Called them today and they were sitting OUTSIDE on my sisters porch having breakfast and watching her dogs run in the yard. Me? I was sitting on the couch with the heater on cause it was 30° and freezing outside - had to dress like an Eskimo to let the ducks out of their coop this morning.
BUT, anyhooo - they left me some of their antiques and was seeing if anybody can give me info on this clock? I know it was bought at a farm auction in the 60's but that is about it.

Oh, click on the pics to enlarge if need be! Thanks!

It is a lovely Sessions Calendar "E" clock in a style referred to as a "store regulator". I have it's twin hanging in my living room. The finish is original. Approx circa 1900 and they were indeed common in general stores, etc often with advertising for a product on the bottom glass. I paid $550 for mine 12 yrs ago and felt lucky but like everything I suspect the value has dropped.

The red hand is the calendar hand and the numbers on the outside of the dial are the calendar day of the month numbers. The movement is an 8 day movement meaning it runs 8 days on a wind.

Thanks for the info! I do believe it still works as I remember winding it for my parents but It hasn't been wound for years.
