Me too ! Heres a few pics of one of my doll houses,I just realized how very dusty they are and I need to get in there and work on them. I loved doing it,but the prices got ridiculously high so its been a while since I messed with them. I preferred 1/12 scale.

I could so easily get hooked on miniatures.
I think it was Knots Berry Farm that used to have the Museum of Miniature Houses. Been so long since I was there. I was always fascinated by them.

    Those are spectacular!

I have one that I think is another POW bone model that so far I can find no receipt from Mom for....my oldest brother made the case for it.....AND I KNOW I have a couple of nephews who will gladly fight for this!!!! HAHA!!!:joyful::joyful: It's hard to see them, but there are 15 cannon ports on the showing side and I believe the same on the other....and a very primitive figurehead.....no markings.............15" LOA including bowsprit.........

I have always loved miniatures as well. In Dutch museums I have to see the antique doll's houses.
Some of my miniatures/scale models, the first one has been in the family for many generations. It is a model of a 17th century Dutch 'toogkast' or 'Utrechtse kast'. The minor repairs are on my to do list:

A ca 1900 model of a traditional Batak house from Sumatra, Indonesia:

A chance discovery of a miniature Balinese keris holder, the only one I have ever seen. The full size ones stood at the entrances to Balinese house compounds, so visitors could leave their keris at the gate. This one depicts Hindu monkey God Hanuman, a popular protector.
The miniature keris is rare, but of a well documented type, the healing keris:

Not at the moment,Ive been meaning to get a sheet of plexiglass cut so I can have it protected from dust and touching, but like so many projects....! That, plus every available surface in my house is "occupied" and they do take up room.Anyjewelry,I NEED that kast . :)

    :D
I know you do, but the kast stays where it is.
This is a hand painted Dutch Gothic Revival doll's bed, which also came down through the family. I sold it, which still hurts. I was being sensible. It was wrapped up in a closet, took up space, and my nieces didn't want it.

It went to a very loving home though, to a doll's beds collector in the US. She made pillows and a little duvet for it, all in style. She sent me a photo, and I am happy it is loved and cared for.
